Where Christ Is Celebrated

Holy Week Services

Maundy Thursday service, April 17, at 7:00 p.m. with the Sacrament of Communion and the Tennebrae (Service of Shadows) where we will read passages from the Passion story and extinguish candles.

Good Friday community service.  A cross walk begins at the Rotary Performing Arts Pavilion at the lake at 6:00 p.m..  We will walk from there to the United Methodist Church stopping periodically for readings on the first half of the stations of the cross.  At 7:00 we will gather in the sanctuary of the United Methodist church for the second half of the stations of the cross.  Those not wanting to walk may meet at the church at 7:00.

Easter sonrise breakfast is at 8:30 with traditional worship celebrating the resurrections at 10:30 on April 20.

WORSHIPING, ENCOURAGING, SERVICING

Welcome to the First Presbyterian Church online. Our church is located at the corner of Harris & Simon Streets in the historic downtown district of beautiful Cadillac, Michigan. If you join us for worship, or any of our special programs, you will be warmly greeted by our church family. I trust this web site will help you to learn more about our congregation and its programs. Feel free to contact us at cadpress@sbcglobal.net.

During the Lenten season you are invited to gather with us and Christian friends from other churches at one of the Lenten Breakfasts sponsored by our Cadillac Area Ministerial Association.  Click here for the scheduled locations.

- Blessings and Peace,
Pastor Paul R. Tomlinson

Service for 04/13/2014

Entering the Village

On Palm Sunday we focused on putting one foot in front of the other as we walk with intention and purpose where ever God leads us.  Sometimes it leads to pleasant events such as Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem and the celebration of the Passover feast.  Other times it leads to difficulties such as praying with agony in the garden or the crucifixion.
