Habitat for Humanity is holding the Karl K "Ken" Forsman Blitz Build at 602 Huston Street in Cadillac on June 6 - 10. The Lucas family will be moving into this house when it is completed. Pictures will be posted on this page as the week progresses to show its progress.
Each morning Pastor Paul, who is on the Board for Habitat, will start the day off with prayer. The plan is for the house to be completed this week and an occupancy permit to be issued next week.
Monday morning at 7:00 a.m.
4:00 p.m.
When a group from our church came to serve the evening meal it was remarkable to see the change in one day.
Tuesday 7:00 a.m.
Yesterday, the structure went up and drywall was put up on the inside. Mudding will take place today along with roofing and siding.
Day Three 7:00 a.m.
Roof and siding is on. Walls are mudded and receiving a second coat of mud today. The walls may be primed today getting ready for painting tomorrow.
Day 5 saw the house completed other than some small finish items. It was a great week involving many volunteers.
