On the Fourth Sunday in Lent we focused on both the passage in Numbers about the poisonous snakes biting the Israelites and they were saved from death when they looked at the bronze snake held up, and the passage of John where it says “Just as the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness so must the Son of Man be lifted up”.
The question was raised, “Where, during this Lenten season, is our gaze as we face the difficulties of life?”
