#370 verse 1 “This is My Father’s World”
CALL TO WORSHIP
One: Peace be with you.
All: How good and pleasant it is when we live together in unity.
One: Receive the Holy Spirit.
All: It is like precious oil on the head, the blessing of the Lord.
*HYMN #839 “Blessed Assurance”
WE CONFESS OUR NEED
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Gracious God you call us to abide in you and to dwell in love and unity with one another. We confess that we are not always loving. We are filled with anger and jealousy. We put our own needs above the needs of others. We strive to protect our own way of doing things. Forgive us, O God, and lead us into a way of life where we truly carry your message of love and reconciliation to all people of the world. Amen.
*ASSURANCE OF PARDON
One: We have an advocate with God – Jesus Christ, the righteous one – who offered his life in love to save the world from sin. Believe the Good News:
All: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven. Thanks be to God!
One: We have received peace with God through Jesus Christ. Therefore, let us turn to those around us and greet one another in the peace of Christ.
PASSING THE PEACE OF CHRIST
*SUNG RESPONSE “Gloria Patri” (Avery & Marsh)
Glory be to the Father, and the son, and the Holy ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
