First Presbyterian Church has an active, fun-filled and meaningful program under the guidance of our Director of Christian Education, Don Phillips. We have programs for kids from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.
During the school year children pre-K through 8th grade are dismissed from the 10:30 worship service after the children’s message for Sunday School classes. 9th – 12th graders have a Bible Study gathering at 6:00 in the evening on Sundays at someone’s home.
PYG (Presbyterian Youth Group)
Our 7th – 12th graders also have a number of monthly activities. They meet one Sunday per month following worship for food, fun and lessons on Christian living. Once a month during the school year on a Friday evening we have a Nerf Night. This is a fun filled night of playing games, sharing in pizza, and a time of discussion on serious topics that impact the youth’s lives.
In addition we have various activities throughout the year such as lock-ins, a trip to Michigan Adventure and other fun events.
For more information feel free to contact the church office and ask for Don.
