Get To Know The Pastor

Michael Horlocker

Michael joined our church family on January 1, 2020, eager to serve Christ, our congregation, and the Cadillac community.

After over 15 years in IT for the automotive industry, Michael answered his call to ministry, earning his Master of Divinity from Ecumenical Theological Seminary in 2010. A lifelong member of Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian in Detroit, he developed a passion for mission, serving as Moderator of the Deacons, a Ruling Elder, and a youth program leader.

During his time at First Presbyterian in South Lyon, Michael expanded the congregation’s mission efforts, leading initiatives with Capernaum Health Clinic, Kids Hope USA, Everyone Eats, and others benefiting the South Lyon community and beyond. He also served as Capernaum’s president and held leadership roles with the Second Mile Center of Detroit and the South Lyon Cool Yule.

Michael is married to Stephanie, who works at GM’s Warren Tech Center, and they have a daughter, Lauren, at Central Michigan University. He enjoys reading, the outdoors, and spending time with family. Michael’s message is simple: “Love God, love your neighbor. Together, let’s share the love of Christ in Cadillac and wherever the Holy Spirit leads us.”
